New Release -- A Wolf for One Bear (Bear Mountain, 15)

Paul Ashland is the son of the town’s grocer and a gamma bear. Rare to the species, gammas are lost in the hierarchy and often treated as omegas. Bullied because of his birthright, Paul tries to stay quiet and not ruffle feathers in order to make his way through life.

When Master Sergeant Tristan LeCarre comes to town, feathers are bound to be ruffled. He shows up in the nick of time to stop an unfortunate incident, but not before the wolf shifter sets his sights on Paul.

Two betas have had their eye on Paul for years, and things turn ugly when Tristan gets in their way.

The pair finally left, and Paul could breathe again.

The wolf trailed a few steps behind the duo and watched through the swinging doors as they left the store. He turned and eyed Paul carefully.

“You okay?”

Paul met the man’s stare and really allowed himself a moment to take in the wolf’s appearance. He was gorgeous, but not necessarily in a pretty guy kind of way. His features were sort of plain, all but his silver eyes and heavily fringed lashes. What made him truly attractive was a sense of raw power rippling under the surface.

He drew in a deep breath, the warm scent growing stronger. “Yeah… I’m good… thanks.”

“These guys come in here often?”

Paul shook his head. “Every once in a while when they’re hard up and in between pieces of ass. I seem to be the default when they have no one else to sexually harass.”

“Fun, fun,” the wolf said. “We can take care of that.”

Paul frowned. “While I appreciate the assistance, I don’t need anyone fighting my battles.”

“That’s too bad, Paul.”

Paul tilted his head, confused. “Who are you?”

“Tristan.”

Paul stood a moment, waiting for more information than a name. When it was apparent no more was coming, he prodded further. “And?”

Tristan’s eyes flashed, and he looked away. He gazed at the back of the store, appearing interested in the boring scenery. The scent filled the air, wrapping itself around Paul. He knew it had to be coming from Tristan.

“I work with Deacon. I was asked to swing by the store to make sure you two were okay.”

“I don’t need Daddy Deacon keeping tabs on us.”

“He’s not keeping tabs on you. The request came from your father.”

Paul paused a moment, observing the male. “If my father wants to keep an eye on us, he can do it from here—without sending one of Deacon’s dogs to prowl around,” he said, unsure why he felt so incensed. Deacon had likely sent Tristan in an attempt to keep Glenn happy.

While Paul still wasn’t completely on board with his father finding love again, he was trying to be supportive.

A hand snaked out and grabbed his arm as he tried to pass the wolf.

He was dragged closer, and his heart slammed into his chest. Thumping away madly, he didn’t understand the sensation. More of the rich scent filled the space around them.

“I’m no dog,” Tristan growled. “No obedient hound at Deacon’s feet. I did a favor for a friend’s mate—one that seemed to be perfectly timed in my opinion.”

“I could’ve handled them.” It wasn’t the first time Jericho had gotten into his space.

“You shouldn’t have to handle them. They should leave you alone… if that’s truly what you want.”

Paul’s head whipped to the side. “What does that mean?”

Tristan shrugged. “Some people get off on playing the victim.”

“You think I’d encourage that kind of behavior?” Paul yanked his arm away. “I wasn’t playing the victim.”

“You didn’t fight. You just stood there, letting that asshole touch you.”

“Because fighting only leaves you bruised and broken. Trust me. I know from experience.”

A flash came to those silver eyes. “They’ve hurt you before?”

He watched a tick form at the side of the male’s brow. “Nothing major. They like showing off how strong they are when I fight back. So, I don’t provoke them anymore. Don’t poke the bears.”

Tristan stepped closer, inhaling Paul’s scent. “That’s no way to live.”

Paul clenched his jaw, trying not to drink in the scent of the man before him.

Tristan stared down. The wolf was several inches taller than Paul, and his chest was much wider and more muscled. His palms itched to spread along the wolf’s body and feel the heat and strength there.

“No one should have to live with a bully in their life.”

Paul met the male’s stare. “Not like I can make them suddenly disappear.”

“No, but they can have leashes put on them if they can’t control themselves.”

Paul chuckled. “I’d like to see someone try that. It won’t end pretty.”

“We’ll see,” Tristan said before backing away. He faced Paul until he reached the swinging doors. He spun and exited, leaving Paul standing there trembling.

Henry pressed one of the swinging doors open, a stupid grin on his face. “Well, well—your knight in shining armor got in here faster than I could.”

Paul felt his face flame. “He’s not my knight in shining armor.”

Laxus has been shunned by other shifters for many reasons, including his preference for male lovers. NEW RELEASE: Captured (Novus Prime) by Kelex

I totally dropped the ball and forgot to post this on Wednesday (release day).  I don't know where my head is recently.  I KNEW I was forgetting something.

So yeah... here it is!  I've finally rewturned to the Sci-Fi that I adore.  I love this story so much!

Daniel is one of the last existing humans in the universe. Sold into sexual slavery by the very beings who destroyed Earth, he lives day by day, surviving by yielding to his master. That is, until he’s captured and stolen from the whorehouse he called home by one of the men who aided in his planet’s destruction.

Galec has been sent to find Daniel—and the map the human wears on his arm. A mythic treasure of untold value lays at the end, if they can only decipher it. He captures the human, hoping the male knows more about the prize.

What Galec doesn’t expect is to fall for the human. Suddenly, the treasure isn’t as valuable as what he’s already found.

But can the human accept him—one Daniel claims helped destroy the world?

Galec felt the transport shutter violently and knew they’d docked. Daius was hard on a ship. He’d have to repay the favor sometime soon and beat up one of Daius’ toys. Galec rose from his seat, grabbed his jacket and a case from the floor in one hand before walking over to Daniel.

“Play nice,” he said.

“Not on your life,” Daniel retorted.

Galec knelt before him. “You want to play the captive? Go for it. I can make this much harder than it needs to be.”

Daniel glared before spitting in Galec’s face.

Galec tightened his jaw while wiping the spit away. He collected himself, tightening his control. When he finally spoke, his words were even and calm, even if his emotions were a roiling mass within. “You will regret doing that. Trust me.”

Galec unbuckled the clasped of the seat before grabbing a handful of rope and his other items before hefting the nearly hogtied human over one shoulder. “Thank you for the help, Daius,” he said before the male opened the bay doors.

“Anytime,” Daius said, a hint of mirth to his tone. “Be sure to update me on Novus.”

“Of course,” Galec said as he walked down the bay door and into his own ship. “You’ll be one of the first I call.”

He heard the bay doors closing behind him as he crossed the cargo bay. “Computer, update?”

“Systems are normal, sir. I see your plans were fruitful.”

“Aye, Computer.” Galec laid his pack and jacket down once he made it to the empty bridge. He sailed the ship alone on his quest, besides the AI installed to keep him company. After checking a few of the monitors to see if they’d been followed, he instructed the computer further. “Set a course for Alpha Base—taking the long way, of course.”

“Of course,” the female voice repeated. “Shall I keep long range sensors on to search for any vessels following us?”

“That would be prudent,” Galec said. “I’ll return to the bridge once I get our—guest—situated.”

Galec unbound Daniel’s legs and lowered the man to his feet. “Walk.”

Daniel dropped to his knees, a defiant look to his face.

Galec stepped closer, pressing his pelvis against the side of the human’s face. His shafts were still semi-hard from their play, even after the chaos of their escape, and he was sure the human felt it. “If you want to play that game, I can up the ante.”

A thrill rushed through Galec, making his cocks thicken. He hadn’t expected the strong reaction—only to take the human down a notch. He pushed the vision of his cocks sliding in and out of Daniel’s sweet mouth from his mind and focused on the job at hand.

The kisses in the whorehouse had been unplanned.

He’d been there to get in, get the human, and get out, not fondle and kiss the man. For some reason, he’d been unable to walk away without tasting a little of what the human had to offer.

Daniel’s eyes widened, and he fell away from Galec. “Take me back.”

“Won’t happen.” Galec grabbed the human’s binding and dragged him back to his feet. “Come willingly, or unwillingly. I don’t much care at this point.”

Weeks on a train had an ill effect on Jameson’s body. Between the horrid food and the constant noise, he was happy to finally see his trip come to an end. He rose from his seat and stretched his fatigued limbs as the car he’d been imprisoned in slowed to a stop. The British East India Company had built this rail line to export their Indian goods back to the United Kingdom, not to transport passengers—although, from what Jameson had been reading, they had been bringing a number of troops to the savage land to quell the numerous uprisings of late.

The bellman assigned to him for the trip opened the door at the front of the car. Stewart, while unused to serving gentlemen, had been quite adept at his job. Jameson knew he would not have handled the journey as well had it not been for the man.

“My lord, I have been told there will be a gentleman awaiting you at the station to show you to your father,” Stewart said. “I will have one of our men take your baggage to his manor.”

Jameson clasped Stewart on the shoulder. “I thank you for your continued assistance. My journey would’ve been arduous without it.” Stewart smiled and bent slightly at the waist before urging him forward. Jameson followed the man outside the car and stepped down onto solid ground for the first time in far too long. His calves shook… his whole body did. The vibrations of the train still moved through his body with each step he took.

“Lord Jameson Ravensworth?”

Jameson turned at the sound of his name, spoken with thickly accented English. A tall, dark-brown-skinned man eyed him with curious golden eyes. He wore a tunic embroidered with a thread almost the same color as those eyes—as well as a turban of a similar shade. It was a stark reminder Jameson was no longer in England. There would likely be more interesting sights to behold along this voyage. A smile came to his lips at the thought of it all. “I am he.”

“Follow me,” the man said, turning.

Jameson watched as the man quickly turned tail and left him. Thanks to a long and even gait, Jameson was quickly left behind. He placed his top hat on before trailing to catch the man. After walking through a gated door and out onto the street, he felt a stabbing pain to the back of his head…
Just before darkness captured him.

****

Jameson awoke, his head throbbing painfully. He opened his eyes to the barest of light and it still hurt unbearably. After a few minutes, he realized he was lying on a collection of silk pillows that seemed to fill the floor about him. More silk hung from the rafters and drifted down, billowing in the evening breeze. At least, he thought it was evening from the pale light filtering in through those drapes.

“Jameson Ravensworth.”

Jameson turned his head too quickly. Pain radiated from the base of his skull, making him clench his teeth. When he was finally able to focus on who had called his name, he saw the same man from the train yard.

“What have you done to me? Where am I?”

“Your questions will be answered soon enough,” the man said. “Follow me.”

Jameson frowned. “The last time I did that, it did not go well.”

The man spun to face Jameson. “You have questions, I have answers—but you must come.”

Jameson sat there a moment, trying to consider his alternatives. He had no idea where he was, or of a means of escape from the room. Information was needed, so it was best he opened his eyes and ears and followed the man. He rose, his head swimming as he reached full height. “Lead the way.”
